The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. While good robot vacuum is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to know whether they're working until you see them in action.

If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best option is probably hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price price.
But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper and has more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock close to a power outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move around but.
The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The main aspect that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it needs to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it began.

The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 however is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
